Feeling Italian , and I have a tofu. Well…. let’s be creative.
I decided to make tofu steak with Italian sauce, and turned out so satisfying delicious
Tofu steak
1 press firm tofu and drain water
2 sprinkle sea salt and pepper, coat with flour and nutritional yeast
3 in a frying pan, heat olive oil and pan fry the first side until crispy, flip
Italian sauce
1 make mushroom “anchovies”Finely chop the mushroom, transfer to a small bowl, sprinkle kelp powder, sea salt, and black pepper add minced ginger (or garlic I just don’t eat garlic so…), 1/2 tsp soy sauce, pinch cayenne, drizzle olive oil, and rub with hands, let it sit for 10min
2 remove tofu steak from a pan, sauté mushroom “anchovies “, pour white wine
3 add chopped tomatoes, olives, and capers, add fresh parsley at the end
🥦Cream of broccoli
1 melt vegan butter in a stock pot, sauté sliced potato first, then add broccoli, sprinkle sea salt and pepper, add water, and veggie stock, nutritional yeast, cover and simmer for 10 minutes
2 pour the soup into blender, blend until smooth
3 back soup in the pot
4 add plant milk
5 adjust seasoning with sea salt and pepper
